Refund And Return Policy
TERMS AND CONDITIONS ON ENGINES AND GEARBOXES
Customer Obligations
- All engines must be fitted by a qualified and RMI registered mechanic.
- Customer must install new oil, oil filter, thermostat, spark plugs, coolant, etc.
- Customer must flush the radiator, check water pipes, water pump, and change all seals and gaskets (no warranty on any oil leaks).
- All cam belt engines must be installed with new timing belts. All belt-driven engines are required to have a new timing belt installed and set on the correct timing before installation as per the manufacturer’s specifications. NO warranty on timing chains or belt-driven engines.
- Check and adjust valve clearance and timing.
Note: Customer is responsible to verify parts for fitness, proper size, and application prior to installation. We assume no liability for parts incorrectly installed as a result of errors in ordering, packing, and shipping.
Standard Warranty on Engines and Gearboxes
- 3 months unlimited kilometers on the internal parts only from the date of purchase for engines and gearboxes.
- All turbos are covered by a 7-day warranty.
- No warranty is covered on any attached accessories and parts such as manifolds, carburetor, distributor, alternator, turbo, supercharger, water pump, starter, thermostat, clutch, flywheel, timing belt of belt-driven engine, and all seals or any sensors, etc.
- NO warranty on any injectors either diesel or petrol. It will be seen as an electrical part, and no electrical part is guaranteed!
- No warranty on any oil leaks. There will be no guarantee on broken gears/burnt gearboxes due to low oil.
- A new spigot shaft bearing must be fitted.
- Used Transmissions: 3 months on any manual gearbox, 2 months on any automatic gearbox warranty from the date of purchase on internal parts only. (No releasing bearing or master slaves will be warranted; new and correct oil is required for the warranty to be valid.)
- Startup warranty on all High-Performance engines.
- There is no warranty on a blown head gasket or when a customer overheats his engine.
- No warranty on engines brought for modifications or modified vehicles.
- NO stripping of engines and gearboxes if you experience a problem, this will void your warranty! If for any reason whatsoever, the engine has a fault (e.g., bearing knock, smoking, noise in the block or head, etc.), contact your sales consultant immediately for further action! PROOF must also be communicated to your sales consultant by means of a video or picture.
- Please ensure your prop shaft is correctly balanced as a broken or damaged extension housing will not be covered by your guarantee.
Limitations
- Please keep in mind you are purchasing a second-hand item, and there will always be an element of risk.
- This warranty shall not apply to or include any of the following: repair or replacement due to accident, misuse, collision, fire, negligence, alteration, racing events, improper installation, or repair.
- No warranty on any car with software or tune-ups.
- NB: LM is not responsible for any consequential damages, labor costs, courier costs, downtime, towing charges, freight charges, vehicle hire, rental, and comprehensive insurance claims.
- Oil leaks, blown head gasket, and overheating due to a poor cooling system.
- Bent valves, lock-up, or backfire due to a broken timing belt or incorrect timing set. A new timing belt must be installed on all belt-driven engines before installation.
- No warranty on internal damage caused by dropping obstacles into combustion chambers.
- Proof of all the above-mentioned points must be produced to us if there is a fault with the engine, along with a valid invoice and pictures.
Refunds and Exchanges
- No refund without an original invoice. No refunds on delivery/courier charges or labor charges.
- Non-refundable deposits. Lay-Buy non-refundable option is available for only 3 months.
- There shall be no cash refunds made. A 15% handling fee will be charged on goods rightly supplied.
- Refunds will be processed in 7-14 working days after approval by management, based on terms and conditions.
- A 3% handling fee will be deducted for refunds when clients used card facilities for payment.
- There is a 7-day policy for us to exchange/supplied you with another engine.
